There is an airtightness link in the production process of a forklift battery. If this link is not well checked, the sulfuric acid in the battery charging and discharging shell will flow out, and the battery will be short-circuited due to a lack of liquid in dry water. Many users do not know these processes when receiving forklift batteries, resulting in frequent liquid filling of individual cells during use, which affects the use of battery forklifts.
In the airtightness test, fill or extract the gas from each battery cell according to the test standard, which is the test sealing performance.
If the airtightness is unqualified, the battery will leak liquid and affect the battery’s service life. The complete airtightness is mainly caused by the poor material of the battery shell and the poor heat-sealing process.
Another thing to know is the temperature resistance of the forklift battery. The temperature resistance affects the environment for users to use a forklift. If the design is unreasonable, the battery vulcanization will speed up, and the sulfuric acid crystal will increase. During later charging, the charger will not recognize the voltage. The temperature change resistance test is to place the battery in a high and low-temperature environment for 24h, After removal, it shall be placed in the environment of 25 soil and 10 ℃ for 12h, and the airtightness test shall be carried out after the shell is restored to average temperature. The temperature change resistance test assesses the adaptability of plastic shell batteries to ambient temperature change.
