How to identify whether the counterweight of the forklift is iron or cement
Many second-hand forklifts on the market are fake forklifts, one of which is a cement counterweight. Because the forklift counterweight is not made of iron but made of cement, it will often be unable to fork the goods of its rated tonnage if you buy this forklift. Today, I will introduce four methods for you to quickly identify whether the counterweight of the forklift is iron or cement.

Method 1: Look
The density of cement is smaller than that of iron. Under the same volume, the mass of cement is lighter than that of iron. To make the cement forklift looks good, liars often make the tail of the forklift longer and more warped. Compared with the accurate forklift, the difference is pronounced.
Method 2: Listen
The sound of knocking metal is clear, and the sound of knocking cement is dull.
You can use a hammer to tap on the counterweight gently. If it is iron, the sound of metal collision sounds crisp and has some aftersounds. Cement is different. Its texture is softer than iron. When knocking, the sound will be very dull, short and rapid, without residual sound, and may hit a pit.
Method 3: Adsorb
The magnet will suck together when it touches the iron
You can know whether there is iron inside by absorbing the magnet, but this method is not rigorous enough. Some swindlers will wrap a layer of iron sheet outside the cement, which can also be adsorbed, so this method should be used with other methods.

Method 4: Lift
The forklift can lift the goods with a rated load.
This method is the most practical and straightforward. The forklift itself uses the lever principle to lift goods. For example, a 3.5-ton forklift can generally lift 3.5-ton goods. You can directly use this forklift to lift heavy things through this method. You can easily find the answer. It is elementary and practical.
