A forklift clutch is a medium converter that transmits engine power to the gearbox. The material of the forklift clutch plate is similar to that of the brake plate, and its friction plate has specific high-temperature resistance. When the forklift is driving, press the clutch pedal. The clutch will be separated from the engine flywheel and then switched from high gear to low gear or from low gear to high gear when the clutch is connected with the engine flywheel through the clutch pressure plate.

Forklift clutch is one of the parts of forklift clutch. Because it is not exposed, it is not easy to observe at ordinary times, so its state is not easy to find. Many forklifts without regular maintenance are often seen after smelling a pungent smell or slipping when the clutch is out of order or the clutch is worn and charred. How often should the forklift clutch be replaced? When does it need to be replaced?

The replacement cycle of forklift clutch

Logically speaking, the clutch should be a vulnerable part of the forklift. But in fact, many cars only have to change the clutch once a few years, and some forklifts may have tried to change the clutch after the clutch plate burned. How often is it replaced? Refer to the following points for replacement judgment:

1. The forklift engine cannot run at high speed. When the front gear or second gear engine is at low speed, suddenly step on the accelerator to the bottom, and the speed increases significantly, but the speed does not accelerate much, it indicates that the clutch of the forklift is slipping and needs to be replaced

The simplest detection method is to shift to 1st gear, pull up the hand brake (or step on the brake), and start. If the forklift engine stops, you can directly judge that the forklift clutch plate should be replaced.

How to reduce clutch wear?

1. Do not depress the clutch pedal too early when deceleration is required. Depress the clutch pedal when the vehicle speed drops to a reasonable range to reduce clutch idling.

2. Do not step on the clutch without shifting.

3. When the forklift stops, it should be in neutral gear and release the clutch pedal to avoid increasing the burden of the forklift clutch.

4 Start with the first gear to obtain the maximum torque when starting and reduce the overload of the forklift clutch.

5. Do not step on the clutch pedal for too long. Release the clutch pedal or change the gear according to the road conditions or slope.
